Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness... - Matthew 6:33
Prayer

Men always ought to pray and not lose heart - Luke 18:1. The queen Victoria of Scotland said that she was more afraid of the prayer of one man of God than a thousand armies. Prayer! Prayer! Prayer! Start your day with prayer. Be in an attitude of prayer all day. End your day with prayer! Prayer is the most important thing a Christian can do. Why? Because it is only in prayer that God reveals Himself to us and transforms us into His image. In prayer we become like Jesus!

Pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 2:20. A good friend of mine once told me that, the shortest distance between a man and his problems, is the distance between his knees and ground. Heaven and all its glory is opened to us in prayer. Jesus Himself will show up and speak with us face to face. The battle of the world is only won in our prayer closet!

Jesus said, "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6:6). Spend time with God. Just God and you. Just sit and speak to Him with honesty and simplicity of heart and mind, and He will always speak back to you!

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.
The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.
Matthew 26:41

Read The Bible

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God - John 1:1. The bible is the infallible word of God. Every word in the Bible is truth and the truth will set you free. Reading and meditating on the word of God daily will transform us to be like Him. The Bible is God's love letter to us. Read it as if God wrote it directly to you, because He did. Every promise if for us, every word of caution is for us, every blessing is for us, every power is for us to have!

The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life - John 6:63. We have to stand on the word of God or we will not stand at all. One + one is always true. If we are sad or happy or angry, one + one is always two. We learnt that in a math book and we believe it. Much more than that is the word of God! It is always true. Understating this, the psalmist says, "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" (Psalm 119:103).

God told Joshua, " Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). Understating the utmost importance of that, the psalmist says, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you (Psalm 119:11). Make it a habit to read the Bible every day. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you the Bible. And the sovereign power of God work in your life!

Blessed is the man (whose)… delight is in the law of the Lord, and
on His law, He meditates day and night.
Psalm 1:1, 2

Go to Church

God has combined the members of the body - 1 Corinthians 12:24. Jesus Christ Himself formed the church body. I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it - Matthew 16:18. I don't now about you, but I sure would like to be a working part of the body that Jesus calls His bride! For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them - Matthew 18:20

Gotta go to church! If you are not excited about your church, then find a church that you will be excited to go to. But go to church! You ask why? Cuz Jesus said so! Cuz our walk in Christ cannot be done alone. "The Lord… sent them two by two" (Mark 10:1). When people get together in the name of our lord Jesus Christ and worship Him, and pray to Him, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is astounding! In the upper room the Holy Spirit fell upon the desicples only when "they were all with one accord in one place" (Acts 2:1).

Let us then be like the apostles and the believers were in the early days of the church as "all who believed were together, and had all things in common" (Acts 2:44).

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22

Be a witness

I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received (Ephesians 4:1). Live as people who have received a new life. There has to been a drastic change in the life we led before Christ and after Christ. The best witness is the life we lead. The best indication of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit manifested in our lives! Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new - 2 Corinthians 5:17. Make it a point to live a life as Jesus Christ lived on earth. That is our standard. Anything less in not worth living at all!

Any body who has a born again experience with our loving Jesus Christ, will surely find some one to tell about the extreme happiness in their hearts. "For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks" (Matthew 6:45). You just can't help it! It is so precious and wonderful. Your heart just explodes with His joy and peace. But as the days go on, our desire to speak His message decreases. We start right, but seldom finish right. Lets start and finish right! Jesus told each and every single one of us, "Go into all the world and peach the Good News to everyone, everywhere" (Mark 16:15). Let's do it! Let's work for the King and take the saving grace of Jesus, the message of His love to all the people who are perishing.

As you go, preach this message:
‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead,
cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.
Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 10:7, 8
